I took my daughter to VT orientation where they had Dell, Lenovo, HP, Fujitsu, and Toshiba all hawking their machines. She fell in love with the tablet machines that Fujitsu and Toshiba; Lenovo didn't have one.

I think the technology is very cool, but I wonder 1) how useful people really find it, and 2) how well the tablets hold up.

Any opinions or war stories appreciated.

I do not have a current (nor previous) generation touchscreen computer.
But I can absolutely guarantee that the next laptop I buy will be one. X10 ! I'm looking forward to administering physical devices (home theater,
mixer, coffee) by touchscreen, and I expect that for me if the controlling
softwares on whatever OS running on it are mature, it's a game changer.

I'll use the keyboard for coffee making Cron jobs :)
