I have an R51 with a 40GB HD and the hidden partition - V001: (system recovery stuff, I assume) is 4.63GB. My wife has a T41 and the hidden E: partition is 9.87GB. On a 30GB drive, that's a pretty healthy swipe and XP Pro keeps telling her she's running out of space.
I've off-loaded everything possible to a 16G flash drive, but still can't defrag the sys, since there is less than 15% of the HD available. Any ideas on how to cut down that hidden partition? Can it be offloaded or eliminated entirely with Disk Management?
