Could you please elaborate? My X300 often freezes up in the following
way: My lid switch is configured such that the computer does nothing
when I close the lid. When I try to put the machine into standby by
pressing Fn-F4, it will sometimes go into a strange state where it's not
quite in standby, the HDD lamp keeps blinking sporadically, the keyboard
seems to have some effect on the computer, but nothing will get it back
out of that state. This seems to happen more often if I close the lid
after pressing Fn-F4. I then have to force it off and reboot.
