Will not do for me: on the X31 I own, the power inlet is on the back
side, and none of these tips are "at an angle" (as on the i Go). It
would stick out too much (I can't make it out on the picture only if it
is as bad as on the Kensington).

Also, is it true that when you don't have ground connector, and you are
on a power grid with some sort of protection (old systems, in remote
places), your laptop can be a victim of a power surge (like if lightning
strikes the electric lines to your house)? For instance, the Mac power
adapter have a ground connector on the cable, but not on the small
compact alternative plug ! :-) (which you are more likely to carry
around when traveling).
