Well, I'm still on IE6!
But actually, I found the solution to my problem: just opened Device
Manager, selected "Roll back Driver" (under Properties > Driver, for
PS/2 TrackPoint) and rebooted.
I can now scroll with the middle mouse button everywhere I used to.
