Either a bad display panel or a bad video card. Either way, it really does
not pay to fix it unless you have some program that must run on that machine

Subject: [Thinkpad] 600X suddently bright/washed out screen display
Suddenly my screen has changed its appearance such that the
display is somewhat washed out i.e. I have lost contrast at the
bright end of its display range. Ideas? Have I mistakenly
hit a wrong key and changed something? Or is this some kind
of malfunction/deterioration?
