I have a Kensington "Universal 70W DC Power Adapter" (model 33195)
which works with cigarette lighter or emPower (airplane) input. I got
it a few years ago.

The spec is:
Input: 11 to 16V DC
Output: 3 to 24V DC (different tips)
Output: 3.5A max
Output: 70W

The compatibility chart doesn't list Lenovo as a brand, but for IBM it
includes the T41 and X40 (highest T and X numbers), all using the "N2"
tip. The product doesn't seem to be mentioned on Kensington's
site so there's no updated chart, though the Finder tool recommends
model 33196, 120W but looks otherwise the same.

What's the chance my 70W adapter would work in the car with my T41p
and X300 (not at same time of course)? The X300's adapter outputs 20V
and 3.25A.

Thanks!
