As one from Colorado.... I loved DHL -- but only back before it merged with Airborne. They were almost exclusively for overseas stuff, but you could reliably send and receive overnight stuff to almost anywhere in the world....

Then came Airborne, which was bad service to start with. And what I refer to as "domestic DHL" was terrible. And to top it off, the overseas delivery became terrible too... It's like DHL was great, but picked up the worst things from Airborne -- and there was a lot of worst to pick up...

And it wasn't just laptops... I remember one time ordering an emergency fix tape from IBM. The tape was created at IBM Boulder, sent overnight by Airborne to a company in Pueblo CO (~150 miles south). Airbornes version of that was to overnight it (through their hub, whereever that was) to Colorado springs (about 1/2 way there), then drop it in first class mail to the Pueblo company....

DHL overseas is almost back to what they were before Airborne...

Wow! We sorely hated DHL out west in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming,

New Mexico.

Amen to that, Ray.
