I have an otherwise nice and faultlessly working T30 here with a charging
problem that I
have never encountered before:

Although the power meter indicates that the battery is charging and that it is
running on
mains power, the battery is being discharged (drained?) as if it would run on
battery.

Everything else looks normal:

- charging light comes on when mains charger cable is connected
- power meter indicates charging state properly
- starts up both with and without battery

The batteries and chargers I tried are okay, they work normal on other T30
models.

The same problem occurs with both main battery and any additional ultrabay
batteries.

I tried it in a docking station as well, where the power supply goes through
the docking
station connector at the bottom, so that the rear power connector is bypassed.
Alas, no
difference. Still pretending to charge but not doing so.

Hardware problem (main board, i.e. non repairable)? Or any other thing I forgot
to try?
