I want to change the HD password (the first one that comes up) on my T41p. I know the current password, I'm lending the computer to someone and don't want to give them it.
I found instructions here http://home1.gte.net/johnfull/n57.htm which appear to be a copy&Paste from IBM's site. I don't know if I have both HD and Power-On password, I just enter one password at the lock icon and then it goes into windows. Based on the instructions, I tried to change the password by typing OLD-PASSWORD [space] NEW-PASSWORD [enter] and got an error. I tried removing the password by typing OLD-PASSWORD [space] [enter] and got an error. How do I change the password?
