Hi

I replaced the CD drive in my ThinkPad 600 for a DVD-ROM/CDRW combo drive.

I cant remember exactly what version it is, but it is a Panasonic UJ something.

I dual boot XP and Ubuntu 10.04. With the drive installed XP will not boot. It
gets to the black screen with XP with the little blue bar going across and
freezes.

At first I thought the drive was faulty. But when I booted into Ubuntu it
booted fine and I popped a DVD video in and it opened the disc and showed the
disc name, so it seems ok.

Any ideas?
