Hi Well it seems my time as a ThinkPad user is coming to an end. In an attempt to get a newer laptop or one that works properly I have just bought a Umax.
So I would like to thank you all for your help and answers to my many questions. I do still have my 600E if anyone is interested in it. It isnt without its problems but nothing a new top panel wouldnt fix. P2 366Mhz, 128MB plus whatever is onboard, CDROM, no hard drive but caddy supplied, sound doesnt work through internal speakers but headphone socket works, also trackpoint has a mind of its own so I have been using a USB mouse. Other than that it is a great little laptop of which I have grown very attached to. Comes with genuine power supply. I am in the UK.
