I have recently noticed that the battery indicator on my partner's
ThinkPad T60 is flashing amber. I'm talking about the illuminated icon
below the bottom of the screen bezel, also visible on the outside of the
lid.
The ThinkVantage Power Manager, under the Battery Information tab,
reports that two batteries are installed, and that the second battery
has an error.
This is weird, since the machine does not have a second battery
installed. The Ultrabay is occupied by a DVD/CD-RW drive.
Apart from the symptoms I have described I can't see anything wrong with
the way the machine is working, but I would feel more comfortable with a
steady green indicator and no adverse reports.
Can anyone explain what is happening, please?
