Hi
No, I need to work out how to disable the onboard 64MB RAM before buying a
256MB stick. If it requires physical modding then I will leave it.
Getting internal wireless and freeing up the much needed PCMCIA slot was my
first priority.

Did you get the memory to upgrade?

Hi

I picked up an Intel 2200BG Mini-PCI wireless card and it arrived this morning.
Popped open my 240X, took out the modem card and popped in the wireless card.

XP picked it up and installed no problems. It has no antenna at mo, but still
it allows surfing in the same room as the router which is where I spend most of
my time anyway.

Excellent, it frees up the PCMCIA slot that I used to use for a wireless card.
I can pop my USB 2.0 card in it, not only giving me faster USB, but an extra
two ports.

Now to try it in Linux Mint.
