Are all netbooks too fragile? My eeepc 1002 is pretty solid. My brother has
dropped his, and while the hard drive did croak soon afterwards, it was a
standard 2.5" SATA drive and was easy to replaced. The classic eeepc 701 is
also quite solid, though it does feel like a toy.

Does it have to run Windows? The Always Innovating touch book, I believe is
pretty solid, though it's ARM processor won't run Windows. The upcoming
Notion Ink Adam looks like it'll be an amazing machine for netbook type use.

Be sure to think about what you actually need it for and what you'll be
doing with it. I have not used my laptop since I got my android phone, and
both of the mentioned machines will run android.
