Have a W500 running Win 7 Ultimate 64. Got a Lenovo Toolbox urgent message
today. When opening, a popup appeared for a Toolbox update. Checked the
urgent message first, related to a problem in discharging battery to ultra
low or out, then not being able to restart the system, and referenced bios
and embedded controller updates here, with system board replacement needed
if their fix without the updates (removing adapter power, battery, and CMOS
battery, then replacing and trying restart) doesn't work:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-74161&selectarea=SUPPORT&tempselected=5&AID=10429688&PID=3719336&CJURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww-307.ibm.com%2Fpc%2Fsupport%2Fsite.wss%2Fdocument.do%3Flndocid%3DMIGR-74161%26selectarea%3DSUPPORT%26tempselected%3D5

Decided to check with System Update, so saved the update url, then allowed
the Lenovo Toolbox update to download and install. That finished, Toolbox
reloaded, and no more urgent message. System state green, A-OK, no problems.

Ran System Update, got

"No packages applicable to your system were found"

Rebooted, still no Lenovo Toolbox message. Ran System Update again, same
result, no packages.

While composing this message, ran Toolbox again, and got the original urgent
message.

Guess I'll go ahead and do the bios and embedded controller updates, but
thought I'd pass this on and see if there are any knowledgeable responses
from the list before plunging in.
