Ok, I'll bite. What's the scoop on the new OS/2 version? I haven't run that

I was also curious when I read that (I used OS/2 from 1992 to 2000). It
appears the "GA" version of eComStation (which is how OS/2 is known
these days) was released in may 2010:

after two release candidates in 2008 and one in 2009...

The main problem with OS/2 has always been applications: they were
scarce already in the 1990's and I fail to see how that could have
improved in the 2000's. In the meantime, the first NT-based Windows
(W2K) came out for workstation users and it was as stable as OS/2, so
the edge it had over 95, 98 and ME disappeared.

As much as I liked OS/2, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in 2010, mostly because of the lack of application and drivers. It was better than Windows back then, but so was Betamax better than VHS (or so I've been told).

Cheers,

Dominique
