Not sure what you mean about connecting "to the screen/keyboard".

Are you saying when you dock your TP, your screen and or keyboard won't
function?

OR

Are you saying, your thinkpad just won't connect (latchup, lock in) to the
docking station?

If it's the latter, vigerously press the eject button on the docking station
several times. My DS I had for my T61 would do this about every time I took
my TP off dock. Often I'd have to resourt to actually beating on the
floorpan of the docking station.... Then the latches would pop up like
nothing was wrong and the laptop could then "dock" with the docking station.

Subject: [Thinkpad] docking station

Hello all,

I use a thinkpad 61 with an ultra docking station.
I recently removed the laptop and took it away with me.
When I put it back in the docking station, it just won't connect to the
screen/keyboard.
Is it likely to be broken for some reason, or can I hope to expect that I am
doing something wrong?
Are there any diagonstics I can run somehow?

Thanks.
