There's one other possibility. The power manager has settings to ensure it won't start charging until the battery is below some percentage (to avoid constantly charging the battery). If your threshold is set below 95%, it won't charge until the battery gets below that threshold.
So while the odds are the others are correct in that your battery is bad, you might try running it down and then see if it will then take a charge. _________________________________ Robert Rosen > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Message: 1 > Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2010 22:23:17 -0300 > From: Franco Roman <[email protected]> > Subject: [Thinkpad] t61 battery problem > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: > <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > > hello, i've got a T61 model, everything was fine till this afternoon. i was > at work, suspended my laptop and went home, as usual. whne i got home, i've > plug the laptop to the AC power and after a few minutes i realize that the > bettry was stuck in 95% and it wont continue charging... _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
