Missing user account icons, no alternates XP SP3 has an odd issue with most likely a simple cause. I have several accounts
configured and allow each to appear on the XP logon screen. Each was assigned an icon either by the OS or by me. Now all have the same icon. Going to User Accounts to see what's up, only the Guest account has a user icon, others have the missing-link red x. Within User Accounts the original XP user icons are not shown; "change picture' leads to an empty box, though I could assign a file of my own. It's no big deal, but obviously something is corrupted and I don't like to leave anything in a broken state. I'd recently done a bit of maintenance, moving then deleting old temp files, but I also have video issues, sometimes accompanied by OS error messages.
