That seems sort of strange. It is not something I've ever seen. I view my e-mail variously in either a dedicated mail client or in my provider's webmail interface (using FF 3.6 as well) or on my phone and it has not happened to me. Also, the TP list archives, which are just text-based and thus should reflect any HTML embedded, don't show it.

You mention this 'began with the format change on the list'. What format change and when? I didn't know anything had changed with the mail list software or message format for some time.

Do you receive individual messages or do you use digest mode? If digest mode, check out the "Get MIME or Plain Text Digests?" option in your TP list options (access options for your account via http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad)

I'm using a browser (FF 3.6) to view the list within a yahoo mail window. Is
there a workaround, or must I download the mail into a reader? This began with
the format change on the list - it's been going on for a while.
