I was skeptical of the power button trick but I did try it. I know that there
are a lot of strange things with devices so I was hopeful. That didn't help but
I did borrow an AC adapter from somebody and sure enough that is the issue. It
now charges. When reading reviews on Amazon for replacement AC adapters for
these machines, i found out that these power cords are notorious for failing -
and apparently notorious for not lasting longer than one year.
Thanks,
Mark
