I've never noticed that behavior when dragging items into or onto the taskbar in XP Pro, Vista or Win 7, and I have always had the taskbar hidden on my desktops going back to W98 and possibly earlier.

The taskbar doesn't seem to unhide if I'm dragging something into it, which is sometimes handy for me. For example, you can drag/drop items into a minimized folder by dragging it into the folder's task in the taskbar -- that pops the folder window open, and I can then drop into it. It can be handy for me. But with the taskbar hidden, it won't auto-unhide if you drag into it -- is that different with Win7? _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad _____ No virus found in this message.
