DriveImageXML provides an interface to the Task Manager that will
allow to do scheduled (unattended) backups. All my laptop backups are done
to mounted network drives. One could also do a manual (or scheduled) copy
of the 2 files making a backup set to other machines.
ShadowCopy can be also be run from the command prompt, batch or task
scheduler.

Do either of these programs do unattended backup to a different machine

I'd be a lot better at backing up my machines if it happened by itself

I use DriveImageXML for backups. It handles locked files by
using their shadow copy.

The company offers also a program that copies locked files
Shadow Copy

Both programs are free for personal use.

Usually I use the Rescue and Recovery version 4 on my T400 to backup, but
there are some locked files which the program says it can't copy. Are
there
any programs that can backup locked files while I am still in Windows?
Thanks.
