Hello I was using my Laptop when suddenly the screen went blank. I turn it off and tried to reboot but now it only shows the IBM first greeting page but does not boot, neither Windows XP nor Ubuntu. I can' t boot from a Linux installation CD neither. screen says should use F1 when I do I see the following Errors:
Errir 0271 Check date and time set IRQ not configured PCI Display on MB Bus 00 Device 02 Function 00 IRQ not configured PCI Serial bus controller Bus 00 Device 1D Function 07 IRQ not configured PCI Serial bus controller Bus 15 Device 00 Function 01 IRQ not configured PCI Serial bus controller Bus 00 Device 1F Function 03 I shall press then f2 in order to enter BIOS values but I am asked a password which I don't know. If the crash had not happened I would say it is the BIOS battery, but it looks like a serious MS break.
