I have had fantastic luck with Engenious products, and my parents love the
ECB-9500 I bought for them.

It has three antennas for MIMO and full 300M support (single-channel 802.11n
is 150Mbps). The 80mW output power on the transmitter is on the high-end of
typical consumer gear, and the reception is fantastic everywhere in the
house and a ways down the driveway. It's not cheap, but not too expensive. I
have it configured as only an access point, and not a router, so wireless
devices sit on the same network with wired devices, using the DSL modem as
the router. The PoE support makes it so that you can put the access point in
an ideal location and run only one Ethernet cable to it, powering it on the
other end with a PoE injector.
