Hello,

It sounds like a memory leak, e.g., a program keeps allocating more
and more RAM from the system but does not release it when it is
finished using the RAM, causing the system to appear to run out of
memory until the program finally exits.

I am not sure what might be causing it, though, as it sounds like
two different programs had the same issue. Perhaps the interaction
of some third party program in conjunction with them?

One of my update programs (PBUpdate.exe from iPass)
after running a few minutes occupies the entire
available RAM space, so causing my T43 to become
essentially unusable for a day or two until it
finishes the phone number update. So I have had
to disable that program.

Now IE just crashed and when I look in the Process
Lasso report, it shows IE also occupied the entire
RAM space.

Perhaps someone could educate me as to what is
happening here, and whether there is any fix.
tks to all
