No. Unfortunately, later ones do not supersede earlier ones. You have 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5. The size of 3.5 indicates, to me, that it is an addendum to 3.0 and not a replacement.
.net is a framework that makes writing applications easier. Many applications, including non-Microsoft apps, rely on them. tl;dr - Don't remove them.
