You *should* be able to get a five-year warranty, but you might have to
actually pick up the phone.

Not all models are eligible (from what I've been told) for a five-year warranty
extension (they count five years from the day when the original warranty
started).

I've never had a problem extending the warranty, but I've never done it on a
T400, so YMMV.

Good luck.

Cheers,

George

Subject: [Thinkpad] Warranty extensions on T400

I have 3 T400s that have just less than year left on the warranty
purchased when they were new (3 year extended). Is it possible to extend
this warranty further? I tried to extend them on the Lenovo site, but all
I could find were Lojack service additions, not extensions to the actual
warranty.
