Folks, Not sure how many like me in the same situation. Do you remember the blinking X220 display thread issue I had? I have now officially lost 2 months (28 first case +25 days and counting for second) and still no luck. Opened the case twice, first time the laptop sat in the depot for a long time, and came back with apparently system board change, the problem persists, perfect new year gift for me as the thing started blinking on the long new year weekend :-) Opened a case again, and now its again sitting there with no updates.
I thought Lenovo will fix a problem in 5-7 business days (excluding time lost in transit), but this well beyond. 2 months (and counting) on 2 cases for the same problem. Not only do they have the courtesy to call and let me know what is happening on the case given that they are in 5th week since they have received my laptop, but looks like they cannot figure the problem as well. The customer service calls are outright rude and completely unhelpful. Or maybe its Lenovo Canada, or just my bad luck. If they cannot fix an almost new laptop for 2 months, common sense would be to send out a replacement. But depot apparently denied this request. There goes by 1300 dollar laptop, which I even haven't used much, can't do anything about it. At cross roads now, being a thinkpad convert, I am contemplating moving to Apple.
