Hello, Yes, the X120e is BIOS-locked.
I have a "2x2 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter" FYU 60Y3251 installed in mine. The Hardware Maintenance Manual also lists the following as compatible: Intel WiFi Link 5100 (FRU 43Y6517) Intel Centrino Advanced N (FRU 60Y3195) Intel WIMAX 6250 (FRU 60Y3209) as being compatible.
