Hi all, I'm about to purchase a new SATA drive for use in a USB2 enclosure.
I'm leaning toward a 2TB Hitachi 5k3000 (but I welcome any other suggestions). My question is: once it's in the USB2 enclosure, what should I do before I start using it? Just run it as-is? Quick Format? Full Format? Should I run some sort of diagnostic?
