The old T43 is gasping, so as an expedient, I am moving to a Macbook
that my son has donated to the cause. I have the drive in an external
box and when I connect it to the Macbook, the two other user accounts
are visible (my wife's and guest), along with their documents, but not
mine (I am the administrator.) They appear when the drive is in the T43.
I have messed with "permissions", I have eliminated the password to get
into the administrator's account, all to no avail.
The T43 is on Windows 7, the Mac is running Snow Leopard, although I do
not think the Mac is a factor in the problem.
I have done lots of searching, all the talk is about permissions, but I
do not seem to have alternatives, only offers my user account or
administrator's.
There is some discussion, not exactly addressing this problem, that
utilizes going into cmd, I am somewhat proficient there and would
appreciate any hints, the Thinkpad is really wheezing!
