Hello, The T530 dual-core i7 with built-in graphics also uses the 65-watt power adapter. Adding the NVIDIA NVS 5400M Optimus bumps it up to 90-watt. The T530 quad-core i7 models are not listed in the psref, only as cpu options on the website.
The required wattage varies depending on machine configuration. It is sensible for Lenovo to specify four or so power adapters and choose the one that covers the requirements of the machine with a little breathing room. I like the standardization of power adapters because it means the same 90 Watt AC or 90 Watt AC/DC Combo Adapter will work on my Z60t, T61, and new T530. 73 Eric Smart is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. The Quad Core T530 > models use a 135 watt power brick. My guess is that the heavy brick is for the graphics. The quad core i7 mobile processors only use around 20 watts more than the dual-core, and the brick for my dual-core i7 X201t is only 65 watts.
