Your best bet is likely X61 or X61s, and they can be found within the price
range that suits you.

They will take up to 8GB of RAM, run W7 with no issues and are generally pretty
well-built machines in my experience.

Happy shopping.

Cheers,

George

Subject: [Thinkpad] TP X30 Died

Hello Group,

My beloved X30 died last night. The first inclination was to search for a new
mb
to resurrect it but I think I should at least explore more current replacement
options. I used the X30 for backing up my iphone and internet surfing anywhere
in the house because of its small size and weight. I would probably use the
replacement in a similar manner. Any suggestions for a replacement? I would
like
to stay in the Thinkpad/Lenovo family and don't want to spend more than $250 -
$300. Thanks for your help!
