Hello,

The full (cumulative) Windows 200 Service Pack 4 can be found at:

  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4127

According to the page, Windows 2000 RTM (no service pack installed)
is a supported platform. After installation, Update Rollup 1 can
be installed from

  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891861.

The actual download link for the package is about half-way-down
the page.

After that, a visit to Windows Update to download any remaining
packages.

I would also suggest some security software (anti-malware and
firewall) if the computer is going to be connected to a network.

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky

Ah, you are right: according to the notes I just found I did

  - an install,

  - install SP2,

  - install SP4,

  - install the rollup.

Failure to do that meant that the patches wern't right. If that has
changed it would be good to know. I know of several companies
still using Win2K for machine control, off the net.

Thanks for jogging my memory.
