Any A20p/21p/22p will comfortably take 512MB.

My long-since-buried A20m with a 14" LCD and a 700Mhz CPU was running with 
384MB at the time of its demise...but all of that was a zillion years ago.

I don't recall any trick that would "force" a machine to see more RAM, I'm 
sorry to say...

I removed one memory stick from A20 to test in A21, total in A21 
then reads 512 mb. 
 
Now I put it back in A20 but System reports only "261, 616 kb". 
 
Do I have to do something to force it to inventory and install 
the memory chip?  Something else I've forgotten or doing wrong? 
 
I'm no familiar with this series so will appreciate any help
