In 9 out of 10 scenarios, what you are decribing would point to a bad LCD panel.
However, re-seating the connectors on both ends of the LCD cable doesn't cost anything and is not difficult to do. Good luck. Tilting the screen back and forth can improve the situation, but not completely. Screen is 14-inch, 1400x1050. I thought that it might be a bad cable connection, but when I looked at the hardware maintenance manual it shows the cable connector being bolted down under the keyboard, which makes that seem less likely. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
