Do you have the appropriate Pali Font(s) installed? If you do, you should
be able to use Character Map in advanced mode to copy/paste the
characters.

I have tried this and as soon as I depress the first numeric key I get a
beep indicating rejection of this action.
I am guessing that guessing that num lock is not enabled by default on the T43.
How do I enable it. I googled and got some scary stuff about registry editing.

And once enabled, how do I invoke it (as opposed to the Scroll Lock which is
on the same key).?
I also vaguely recall once seeing on some computer a small screen display
when any of these special key functions was active. Is this part of the OS
or do I need to download some special ap?
[I need this for entering some special characters to display a Pali in
Latin characters.]
