Hi all !

I'm looking at using Thrift for a large scale server project (MMO). Our
servers need to talk to Flex clients (browser). Currently the
client/server communication is done with SmartFox. It's ok, but the server
side is too limiting.

As far as I can tell, there isn't support yet for Flex. So, three
questions:

1) Is someone out there working on a port of Thrift for Flex/AS3 ? I did
see some previous messages back from Sept/08 about this, but nothing seemed
to come of it (nothing in the repo). I'll try to contact the people that
posted those messages...

2) If not, roughly how much work is involved in doing such a port from
scratch ? In the end, I need to do this or write my own RPC protocol. I'd
rather support the Thrift project if it's doable. Is a partial port
possible ? It seems so. Even a basic port of the core transport stuff
would be fine. Don't need Flash based servers !!

3) Any other thoughts here ? Does the Facebook Platform API help here ?

Thank-you !!
