I cannot reproduce this. Did you try "--without-cpp"? Did you check that it
was actually building the library, not just the compiler? If you can reproduce
this from a clean checkout, can you post the output of configure and make (as
attachments, since they will be big), and also config.status, lib/Makefile.in
and lib/Makefile? For convenience, I've pushed all of these patches to a git
branch:
