Change compiler generator output directory?

Hi,

Is there anyway to change the name of the directory the compiler uses to 
dump files under? For example, for python I would like to change the 
directory name to something other than "gen-py". The -o <dir> option 
appears to exist, but that will only change the base directory that 
"gen-py" is created under.
