This all seems pretty involved.  I think it would be best if someone familiar 
with Maven could manage this, rather than requiring me or Bryan to fumble 
around with it.  It is pretty common with other packaging systems to have the 
package maintainer be separate from the software maintainer.  Anyone want to 
volunteer?
