Rather than moving the code, we could have "make check" verify that the
tutorial at least compiles.
I spent a bit of time last night and converted the tutorial over to maven, as
well - this simplifies some of the classpath nonsense and makes it more
standalone, but depends on getting the thrift lib itself into maven.. I'll try
to work on this more in the coming weeks.
