Thanks for your ideas! I think the alternative suggested by Jake would be the best, because we already have a specific, kind-of-customized Perl environment with 2 Perl versions that cannot be extended anymore (well, without additional headache...).
BTW, is there a kind of thrift template I could change so that generated perl stubs will not use Bit::Vector from now on? Kind regards Greg
