Hm, I generally do not see how this is any more useful than having a dedicated terminal application, which provides more functionality than an embedded terminal window. Sure, it would be possible to embed a VTE window into a Thunar window, but for what benefit. In either case, there's no chance to have this for 1.0. Maybe later, as a plugin. Please file a bugreport with severity enhancement to remind us of this later (-> bugzilla.xfce.org, product Thunar).
