There is a spec for this on http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards_2frecent_2dfile_2dspec A lot of gnome applications already support it. Implementing this in libxfce4util to enable Xfce apps like mousepad to use this specification shouldn't be that hard, I think. Regards, Jannis
