Hmm, I installed all of the beta components available in this group, and same issue initially. Today when I retried, though, the Hotmail accounts are working, and I can view the domains for Yahoo, so I added the ymail domain and looks like definite progress. I do get the following message in the console when I Get Mail though:
YahooPOP.js: loginHandler : Exception : Error.
