Thought I'd highlight this solution for the "negatives vibes" problem with yahoo. I had changed my port to >1024 and most of the other options but this (pretty obvious) one escaped me for some reason.
The only difference with the below is that I selected the 'BETA website' setting in the mode tab of the yahoo webmail addon. It had been on the production website which was causing the problem. This is my problem: I just installed Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 and the add-on's "webmail 1.2.2" and "webmail - Hotmail 1.2.2", but when I want to get my mail, it sais it didn't succeed sending my password, mailserver localhost reply'd: negative vibes from Do you have a solotion for me?

Tieske, I had the same problem as you do with error message, "sending of password did not succeed. mail server localhost responded: negative vibes from " I fixed it this way: 1. Go to your Tools/Add-ons/Webmail - Hotmail 1.2.2 2. Click on Options of Hotmail 1.2.2 3. Select Account Tab 4. Select Mode Tab 5. Check box "Hotmail Live (New Website) 6. Select POP Tab 7. Check the boxes you want 8. Select SMTP Tab 9. Check boxes you want and/or Add or Remove folders you want to download If you have more than one Hotmail account you need to do all this to each account. Right above the Mode, POP, SMTP Tabs, there is pull-down window that shows all Hotmail accounts you may have created. Select the account and repeat above steps. 10. Close Hotmail 1.2.2 Close your Thunderbird for the changes to take effect. Then, open Thunderbird again and try downloading your Hotmail messages. Incidentally, my Server Name is localhost and Port is 3393. I tested with Port 110 and 3393 and both worked for me. Hope this helps.
--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Thunderbird Webmail Extension" group.
