with these extensions you must not attempt to use any Yahoo server
whatsoever ... these extensions do not and cannot work via the Yahoo
POP & SMTP servers ... they work via connecting to Yahoo on the Web as
you would in getting or sending your Yahoo mail via your browser.

The only valid servers to use in your Thunderbird settings is:

localhost

-or-

127.0.0.1

the latter is the numeric equivalent of "localhost".

For you Yahoo account it must, in any Thunderbird option, be specified
in full ... ie ... [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Security options for the account in Thunderbird must always be "No" or
"Never".
